2009 TSPE ENGINEER OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR THE STATE OF TEXAS AND TRAVIS CHAPTER
Dr. W.H. Espey, P.E., D.WRE, received the 2009 Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) Engineer of the Year (EOY) Award for the Travis chapter and for the State of Texas. The TSPE EOY Award is the highest honor given to an individual TSPE member. Dr. Espey will be formally recognized as the State of Texas EOY at the TSPE Annual Meeting
in Frisco, Texas, on Friday, June 19, 2009. He recently received an award for the Travis chapter EOY at the TSPE banquet
on February 28, 2009, in Austin, Texas.
ASCE CIVIL ENGINEER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Dr. W.H. Espey, Jr., Ph.D., P.E., D.WRE, also received the 2009 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Engineer of the Year Award for the Austin Chapter. This coveted award recognizes and honors outstanding civil engineering leaders whose accomplishments and achievements made a significant contribution to society, civil engineering, or the civil engineering profession during the prior year.
ANTHONY SPINELLI JOINS EC 's WATER RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEPARTMENT
EC is proud to announce that Anthony Spinelli has joined the Water Resources and Environmental Department in Austin, Texas. Mr. Spinelli came to EC after a 15-year career as the principal of Environmental Operations, Inc. where his company provided field engineering support services.

MANNING JOINS ESPEY IN DALLAS
H. Charles Manning, P.E., has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. Charles has been working in many areas of civil engineering for the last 42 years, including, but not limited to, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, pipelines and pump stations, water line designs, water resources, water storage, water transmission systems, and wastewater systems.
SHRIRANG JOINS EC
Shrirang B. Golhar, P.E., has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s degrees in Civil (Environmental) Engineering and Business Administration. Shrirang’s recent selected experience includes design of a 12-MGD expansion project for TRA’s water treatment plant at Huntsville, Texas, design and construction of a 20-MGD membrane plant for the City of Waxahachie, and construction of a 72-inch Hobas pipe for TRA replacing an aerial crossing.
