HAMILTON POOL RESTORATION
Espey Consultants, Inc. (EC) has been retained by Travis County to assess the condition of Hamilton Pool and stream and to develop a remediation and restoration plan. The project included a detailed assessment of the current water quality, physical and chemical analyses, literature review, and a report of findings and recommendations. Hamilton Pool is a naturally occurring pool on Hamilton Creek. The natural feature has been a landmark for the Texas hill country and Austin area for centuries. more

BBEST BAY & ESTUARY
William H. Espey, Jr., Ph.D., P.E., D.WRE, and Tony L. Smith, P.E., of Espey Consultants have been involved in the 80th Texas Legislature Senate Bill 3 effort to execute a scope of work developed by the Trinity-San Jacinto Rivers and Galveston Bay Basin and Bay Expert Science Team (BBEST) to be used in part to support the development of recommended flow quantities and a flow regime supportive of a sound ecological environment for the Galveston Bay system. Through coordination with the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) and several state SB3 Science Advisory Committee members, a TxBLEND hydrodynamic salinity model has been applied to the Galveston Bay system to characterize historic variations in spatial and temporal salinity conditions within Galveston Bay.  more

Gabe Rojas passed the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) examination on November 24, 2009 to become a certified planner.
