Region C Planning Study Commission
Project Description
It is recognized that one objective of the Region C Water Plan was to demonstrate viable water supply alternatives available to the Region C Regional Water Planning Area. These alternatives include potentially additional water supplies from Lake Texoma, Toledo Bend Reservoir, Lake Wright Patman, Lake O’ the Pines, other existing supplies such as groundwater, or proposed reservoirs. The primary objective of the initial work element of the Region C Planning Study Commission is to compile, organize, and summarize existing studies and analyses that have evaluated Region C water supply alternatives.
Services Provided
Espey Consultants, Inc. (EC) was selected by the Region C and D Study Commission (established by SB 3) to review the Region C and D plans for water supply alternatives. Population and water demand projections were evaluated and modified. Alternative water supplies were also evaluated. These alternatives include potential additional water supplies from Lake Texoma, Toledo Bend Reservoir, Lake Wright Patman, and Lake O’ The Pines. The primary objective of the initial work element of the Region C Planning Study Commission was to compile, organize, and summarize existing studies and analyses that have evaluated Region C water supply alternatives.
